Automatic Tissue Processor
Spencers' Automatic Tissue Processor is designed for precise and efficient tissue infiltration, ideal for applications in plant tissue research, cancer diagnostics, and biopsy sample preparation. With features like rotational agitation, centrifuging for optimal drainage, and customizable programs, it ensures superior processing quality. Its ergonomic control panel with real-time LCD updates, safety-enhancing fume extraction, and secure process alarms make it a reliable choice for laboratories focused on detailed cellular analysis and diagnostic accuracy.
Tissue Processing Excellence
Tissue processing involves using alcohols to remove water from tissues and replace it with a medium suitable for sectioning. Spencer's Tissue Processor employs an innovative technique combining multiple movements to achieve optimal tissue infiltration. This is made possible by the world-class spin processing method.
Rotational Agitation
The tissue cassette basket is submerged in the reagent vessel, rotating at 60 rpm and alternating directions every 60 seconds. This rotational motion ensures perfect tissue infiltration, a homogeneous reagent mix, and reduced processing time. For enhanced results, users can activate an optional shaking process.
Centrifuging
Upon completion of the infiltration process, the basket is raised above the reagent level while remaining inside the vessel. Over a period of 60 seconds, it spins at 210 rpm, changing direction every 15 seconds. This allows for optimal tissue drainage and prevents reagent carry-over between vessels.
Ergonomic Control Panel
The control panel’s ergonomically arranged buttons ensure easy handling. The LCD display provides real-time updates on process parameters, including program number, vessel status, remaining time, start delay, total program duration, rotational agitation, centrifuging, paraffin bath temperature, and current date and time.
User-Friendly Operation
The processor can store up to 10 user-defined programs, which can be initiated immediately or in delayed mode without time constraints. Four rollers on the base allow for easy rotation of the instrument, granting fast and secure access to each vessel.
Safety Features
Each vessel is equipped with an individual cover, minimizing vapor emissions. The STP -2 models feature a fume extraction system, with a fan and activated charcoal filter to purify vapors before they are released.
Process Alarms
If a power failure or other disruption causes a delay at any station, the display will indicate the overtime spent in that station along with an acoustic and visual alarm. The control panel can be locked to prevent unintended changes to the process parameters during operation.
